Cycle II – Day 0: Evolve

Evolve

Saturday October 15th, 2011 was day 100 of my first 100 days Cycle.

Sunday October 16th, 2011 was my official Day 0 (zero) of my second 100 day Cycle.

As I said in my Manifesto:

“Inspiration is a Catalyst, and since inspiring others through our experience is the only value we have to offer others I believe in dedicating my time and energy creating a catalytic life. Broken down into 100 day cycles.”

To understand better where I have come from you can read about my first 100 days.

The last 10 days of my first 100 day Cycle I took to reflect on what I had done. I didn’t plan, I didn’t work on any specific actions (other than my normal morning routine); I did very little other than collect my thoughts on how much my life and mind had changed since setting important goals in December of 2010 and more recently my first 100 day Cycle.

This process of reflection, is part of a mechanic I call “evolve”. The point is to look at the experience (data) I have gathered, and ask myself: What worked? What didn’t? When do I struggle and what do I struggle with? Where do I want to go next?

From this point I can evolve.

Cycle II – My Next 100 Day Vision

When I got my new 100DS the first thing I did was write myself a letter:

A touch melodramatic – but, it reminds me of what I am about.

Where Next?

In 100 days I want to complete my (existing) writing projects.

I have two writing projects: 123T Create (my current Catalyst experiment) and a fiction project I am co-authoring with my brother Spencer Chapman.

My Current Focus

Refining 123T will be ongoing. I have some very important updates to roll out for beginners based on feedback from beta members and my own experience.

Starting November 1st my focus will shift heavily to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). In short, NaNoWriMo it is an annual challenge to write that book you have always wanted to write.

The objective is simple: write 50,000 (new) words between Nov 1 and Nov 30.

The premise is just as simple: let go of all the things holding you back from writing and just do your best to crank out 50,000 words. When you are complete you submit your manuscript online (by the Nov 30 deadline) and their wordbots ensure that you did indeed write them.

Very excited to see if I can crank out approx 1700 words per day on my fiction project for the next month. In preparation I have met with brother Spencer to clarify as much of the outline as possible. Even with an outline I am entering unknown territory on this project so I have no idea how far from the path I will wander.

Scope

During Cycle II I plan on giving blog updates every 5 to 10 days discussing my progress, challenges, and solutions.
